The Juvenile Justice Division represents youths accused of crimes ranging from first-degree murder to graffiti. By law, these clients are 17 years old or younger when the incident that triggers their cases begin. Our lawyers also represent children in situations in which the State is seeking to have the case transferred to adult court. Attorneys from the division work at the Juvenile Court building where they represent clients from the City of Chicago and from the Fourth Municipal District (Maywood). They also travel to the Skokie, Rolling Meadows, and Bridgeview courthouses to represent juveniles.
